Renewable Energy Certificates Registry
The Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) is a statutory authority established to administer the Australian Government's Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000. In 2005 ARI Registry Services (ARI) was awarded the tender to re-develop and manage the REC (Renewable Energy Certificate) Registry system until 2012. The REC Registry currently manages over 50 million objects within stringent SLAs covering availability and response times.
ARI has been responsible for the following development, services and deliverables for the ORER:
- Detailed system designs
- Develop new and existing functionality
- Migration of data
- Provision of an architecture platform
- Helpdesk services
- Ongoing system support
- System enhancement
- Training to ORER staff, including manuals and documentation, and any material necessary to assist ORER staff
- Provide bookkeeping services for payment associated with the REC Registry
