The Australian ENUM Trial
ARI Registry Services (ARI), during the engagement with Australia Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), developed the ENUM Trial Registry for Australia. ARI built the ENUM Registry for the ACMA, who believe the development to be as close as replicating a full commercial system as possible. This design work required global research and modelling to determine the requirements of the Registry System and an optimal design approach.
The project required:
- Leadership in the design of new Registry Systems
- Ability to leverage our experience in new environments
- Consulting, engaging and leading multiple stakeholders over key policy issues
ARI was responsible for the following development, services and deliverables for the ACMA:
- Designed the ENUM Registry to be compliant with the EPP Standard for ease of provisioning
- Implementation of policy in the ENUM environment, based on experience gained in Domain Name Registry operations
- Provision of a WhoIs like service for ENUM Records
- Involvement with the Australian ENUM Discussion Group since its inception
- Implemented accreditation tests to meet requirements stipulated by the ACMA
- Provision of Technical and Administrative Support for ENUM Registrars
- Development of orientation and marketing materials for ENUM
